They climbed out of the water on a set of man-made steps. He just stood and stared, turning in circles. Light reflected and swayed on the walls of the cave as the water undulated. Sam sparkled as the light bounced off her wet body and hair – she looked like some mystical modern mermaid leading him to his doom.
